As Chief of the Bedford Police Department I would like to welcome you to our website and our department. The Bedford Police Department is comprised of many men and women who are proud and dedicated to serve the members of the Bedford Community. The Bedford Police Department is committed to the philosophies of Community Policing and Partnership.
Although much discussion surrounds the poor economy and the effects it has on local government and specifically the ability to provide necessary services we at the Bedford Police Department understand that we are mandated to protect our community. The officers of the Bedford Police Department are committed to continue providing superior services to the community as well the implementation of our Five Year Strategic Plan. We understand that in order to be successful we must be more creative as well as resourceful. Our website is an example of this. We plan to make the website more interactive as well as informative. There will be many updates to encourage visitors to use the site to receive up to date information as well as provide them the ability to conduct business.
